Excellent cuisine, very friendly staff, sometimes a bit slow, but everything is fresh and cozy

I stayed at the Hotel Kastenholz for several days in September. The heater, toilet and refrigerator did not work properly, which could have been repaired. But management is completely overwhelmed, no reaction to repeated communication. Just disinterest or even defiance? I have never experienced it before.

We liked the rustic style of the restaurant, everything was clean, the service was good and the dishes served from the menu were visually appealing and the people at the table tasted very good. So the price / performance ratio was okay for us. More visits from us are likely.

We felt very comfortable and everything from A to Z was fine, thanks for the great break. Despite that we overslept, we got breakfast, for that alone there are 5 *

Had trial work there. An oasis of calm and relaxation for guests. Recommended for vacation or short vacation. Not recommended for short jobbers. Pay is poor compared to expectations. A lot of performance, little money!

We were two days ago at the hotel boxwood food. The house looks fab and the menu promised good food for the price. Unfortunately the staff did not have a good day. The wine did not come until I was almost done with the food, a waitress overturned my wife's drink and did not even bother for replacement and to top it all, the wait staff wanted more in addition to the tip I had given despite the incidents withheld five euros. When I refused, he asked rudely, if it had tasted. Too bad, because the food was OK, the ambience was right, but with this staff we will not take the long journey again.

Very Very expensive for what you get and taste not so good. If you think its taste good and its a good price, You need to travel more in your life outside Germany .We ate two nights in a row at this restaurant.

A nice hotel, all friendly, food good. The cake in the afternoon I would like something juicier, he was very dry. The rooms are very noisy, especially if on the terrace on the ground floor is still entertaining, the on the third floor is still a mega loud. Foot reflexology massage mega great. That was the best on the weekend. The swimming pool is nice too.

For vegetarians unfortunately not much choice and the dishes are a bit careless (tagliatelle with Mediterranean vegetables had exactly 4 tiny bits of vegetables). The strength here is clearly the game meat (all with game dishes were enthusiastic). Atmosphere very comfortable, unfortunately our waitress was a bit off the beaten path and only really made every second order for drinks. Otherwise very friendly and polite.
